Meet Our Team

William Yap, Founding Managing Director

William is a Founding Managing Director of Ruby Lake in charge of project execution and fund raising. He is also a well recognized Asian specialist in SPAC transactions (IPO and de-SPAC). Based in Singapore, he has extensive experience in Asia (including China and South East Asia) for originating and evaluating private equity transactions on behalf of private equity funds based in Singapore. He brings to the table a wealth of knowledge, network, and experience in deal origination, deal structuring, due diligence, fund raising and IPO/SPAC/de-SPAC process.

He graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Physics and has been a charter member of the CFA Institute since 2000. He is fluent in Mandarin and English.

Elaine Liu, Founding Managing Director

Elaine is a Founding Managing Director of Ruby Lake Capital in charge of project origination and fund raising. Elaine is an experienced capital markets specialist based in Hong Kong. In her 20-year career Elaine has had experience working in private equity fund placement, family office, securities trading, trustee and IPO underwriting for both Hong Kong and US IPOs. She brings in a wealth of buy and sell side client relationships in Asia, Europe and the U.S.

Born in Mainland China, Elaine holds an MBA degree from Marshall School of Business University of Southern California. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Andy Kyzyk, Advisory Partner

Andy is a well recognized authority on Exchange related topics in the US Capital Markets. He founded Kyzyk Group after 16 years of leadership with the OTC Markets Group where he was leading the international business of OTCQX. Prior to OTC Andy was a Managing Director based in London leading the European, Middle East and African business for New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

Andy is a seasoned investment banker and worked for Goldman Sachs before his long tenure with exchanges. He is a well recognized expert in small cap IPOs and directly led and participated in over 85 IPO projects from 17 countries. Andy is based in New York and in addition to his advisory work in capital markets he devotes his time to charity work and is a member of the Board for a few charitable trusts and foundations dedicated to medical research and children t
